Dealing with Cluster Flies this winter

You may have noticed when getting the Christmas decorations down from the loft that there is a swarm of flies up there. Usually they will be buzzing around slowly and sticking to southern facing walls and/or windows but now is the time to clear your attic of these pests for the season.

At this time of year, there won’t be many more flies entering your property as it starts to become too cold outside for them to survive. The ones in your loft will simply be there for hibernation and they won’t cause much of an issue until the Spring when they wake up from hibernation and they enter the breeding period by trying to get outside. As a result, now is the best time to deal with the flies in your loft by fumigating and/or applying a residual spray.

If there is quite a large number of flies, the easiest way to kill them all is to fumigate using a Formula P Smoke Bomb or a Formula P Fogger. If you are wanting to follow this up with the spray or to use the spray instead, the best product to reach for is the Formula C Spray.
